Some sketches
I’ve recently had some time to do re-creatinal drawing, So I joined a character design challenges on conceptart.org. I didn’t have time to finish this illustration, but I decided to put up the lineart, and some of the thumbnails and sketches.
The Robot is heavily inspired by the aliens from the fifth element so I think perhaps I should have spent a little more time on the design. I did som studies from photos for the girls face as well, but they just didn’t have enough personality so in the final image I changed it

In the end I like the robot, but the girl turned out a bit too plain. I fell into the trap of trying to draw something attractive rather than interesting.
